A viable assignment depends on skills, hours, travel, equipment and the appointments that come afterward. Two houses close together can still require different people. Define the constraints before evaluating the algorithm.
Distinguish assignment from route optimization. A product can recommend a nearby person without solving the whole day's best route. Use real addresses and different service durations, then check the proposed schedule yourself.
